Why Achieving Your Goal Doesn't Always Lead To Contentment
💥💥Success is achieving your goal. Contentment is being satisfied with it💥💥
And yet one does not always lead to the other.
For many in the workplace, the definition of success often means achieving goals, climbing the ladder, getting the next promotion.
We work hard and here comes the reward. Maybe we start earning more money, which allows us to get a nicer car, buy the latest tech, go on nice holiday...
It comes with a sense of pride that we finally made it, we have ticked the boxes, made it to society standards.
It feels nice, for a while.
But then we realise, deep down something is still missing, we are exactly sure about what it is.
Our sense of satisfaction disappears and we start seeking again. There is more, I can do more, be more, have more.
We set the next level goal, hoping it will soothe this discomfort.
How many of us have fallen in this rabbit hole?
I certainly have, always chasing the next things, so that WHEN I will have it, I will finally be happy, worthy, satisfied…
Waiting for something external to "make me" something, to fill this void...
The truth is when success chasing comes from a place of lack, no amount of external recognition, validation, money will fill this hole.
This is when I realised that the main common factor in all this pattern was ME!
and I started asking questions:
➡️ Why I am always pushing ?
➡️ What am I seeking ?
➡️ What is the thing I'm not willing to see here?
Here you start your journey back home.
It totally changed my life.
It's not about what you have, it is about what you do with it.
